Microbiology
The
ELS Microbiology Department performs a variety of microbiological
analyses and services. These include Coliform bacteria, biological
oxygen demand, culture-based and non-culture based (direct
microscopy) analysis. Salmonella analysis is performed in composting
and effluent sludges, bacterial log reduction studies and
antiseptic verification. The department is equipped with compound
and stereo microscopes, mold and bacteria incubators, biological
oxygen demand incubator, meters, autoclaves, and other microbiological
equipment.
